Hi, this is Joshua Peterson with Peterson Electric. We are here in Denver today for a customer. They needed some outlets in their kitchen. We came out. The compliant was not enough outlets and what about the circuits. This kitchen only had 2 circuits running in the whole kitchen running everything, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, fridge, all of it. One of the concerns is this house is like 1905 in Washington Park. The problem is these walls are solid brick and they are sometimes 18 to 24 inches deep. We came up with this really good idea for them. We were not too hip on the counter outlets that we have heard about. I don’t like water getting into them. We came up with this idea. We mounted the outlets up high underneath. They are still GFI and they still meet the code requirement to the sink and in there we decided to add a switch outlet, so they could put some LED lights, low voltage under here, the cabinets. They are going to put a skirt. We also have another GFI outlet underneath here and a divider over here as well. We were able to get them because they had a really bad looking box up here with conduit. We were able to rewire to down below here. Let me show you how we did that. We came from the back side of the wall and we piped it all. We came in here and put half inch conduit, drilled our holes and connected out dots and re-pulled our circuits to the panel. Right over there through the panel. That is one way we avoided chiseling into the brick. This brick was somewhat soft. I still do not like chiseling into the brick because it can weaken this load barring wall that has been a 100 years. We drilled some small holes and piped it all together. Thanks for joining us! Have a great week!
