Hi, this is Joshua Peterson with Peterson Electric. We are in Loveland, Colorado. Really nice day in December. We were able to trench this. It was about 150 foot or 130, somewhere in there. We are wiring up a detached garage. Getting out permits through Larimer County and the State. Customer requested we do 125 amps out there. We are directly burying this at 24 inches deep, which is code. We are also putting in another level of dirt and then some conduit for his ethernet & comcast low voltage connections going out, which will be hard wired to the garage. Then we will put another layer of our electrical burial tape about 6 inches below the dirt, so if someone is digging they won’t hit the wire. But I do have people who call & ask me how much to get out to a garage. The rule of thumb, it can be somewhere between $17.00 to $30.00 a foot depending on what you are dealing with. This was actually fairly easy though it was long though there was snow outside. We didn’t have a lot of trees. We didn’t have any cement or tarmac. It was a really straight shot. Customer already had all the locates done. All the utilities came in the front. The only thing we hit was some sprinkler lines. Anyways that is it. Thanks for joining us! See you next week!
