Hi, my name is Solon. I live in Loveland, Colorado. I had a problem with my RV, had a bad short and ended up with a near fire. I called Joshua with Peterson Electric had him come in and upgrade my panel and had him do some work as well on the box outside. Very impressed with his work. He is honest and reliable and did a great job for me. I now have power back and I am very, very happy that. Thanks man! I am going to switch here now so we can talk about what we did here. The RV park hired us out. The neutral on the RV outlet was melting and the GFI was broken. We just changed that out. It was pretty simple. Solon put a new cord head on. He did a great job! He bought a new cord. This is a SJOOW. It is rated for wet and sunlight, pretty much an abusive situation, even if you drive over it, you are not going to hurt it. It is a 10 gauge cord. I am betting he spent a pretty penny on that. Let me show you inside what we did here. First of all, this is his RV. This is my first call with an RV with an FPE panel, which is a Federal Pacific Electric. This is something I really didn’t think I would be getting into. We will show you what we did. I kind of turned out like a house panel. Here is his old FPE panel. Again, here is your red breakers. That is how you know and that is the size of it. There is no other breakers you can use to save the cabinet and the buss bar. Solon went and purchased a nice Cutler Hammer Panel. It has four spots, 120 amps, Eaton brand. Come over here and we will show you and see if we have a flashlight. Basically, he cut some wood. We mounted the panel. We ran our power into that 30 amp breaker, then the 15 and 20 amp does the power and lights. That is it, so simple. We have junction down below here. The junction we used is junction in here from the SO cord to the RV romex, which is a 10 gauge wire. This RV runs on 30 amps.
