This is Joshua Peterson with Peterson Electric. We are in Douglas County today. Want to show you what not to do when you are building out your house with a deck. Wise would be to build your deck away from the panel. Couples of reasons are one is there is a transformer in the back and if you ever have an issue. Xcel will make you pull your deck apart just to fix it, otherwise, they will not even touch it. Another issue is as the deck settles, it will mess with the panel. The last thing is accessibility. I have seen them worse than this, where you can’t even open the cover. Article 110.26 says that you have to have work ability to go left & right, up & down. This is not the best situation to have to service. It is your house, your deck, you do what you want.
