Hi, this is Joshua with Peterson Electric. We are trying to look some baseboard heaters, what the issue is and why they are not heating. As you can see right here, this is how you typically come in to service them. There is the corner part that will pop off and and you can look at it. On this issue with this heater, we actually found that the makeup on this unit was poorly done. They did not have the connection points striped far enough back. You want it to be about a 1/4 inch; therefore, when you make that arc, it actually magnetizes it self in order to create the heat running through here. These baseboard heaters are about 2 foot long and 150 watts. If you are not getting any kind of spark, that means it is dead. I am actually testing this hot and that is how I know.
