Joshua with Peterson Electric coming to you from Evans, CO. We got a call from our property management to look at a panel meter, which is a multi-combo. It has 6 meters right here and a 7th meter at the top for the house panel. It is a 6 metered apartment building. Someone was getting in here and messing around with the disconnect, the lock was busted on the side. We came out here and repaired this lock by installing a new locking system, put some lock washers and nuts in the inside. Basically had to drill this out. We installed a lock with a key. You are allowed to do that because the power for the owner’s is right here for this building. This job right here wasn’t much to do, but we had to come out here twice. We had to look at it, schedule power to be out with the tenants and had to do the work. It was about a 2 hour job about $150.00 with time and material. We have done other things, such as put name tags and engraved metal tags on apartments, which the code talks about in 240. We have listed meters before to know which apartment goes to what to meter.
