Hi, this is Joshua Peterson with Peterson Electric in Loveland. I wanted to talk to you about a kitchen remodel that we finished up. A lot of people call us and ask how many circuits do we have to have in this kitchen to make it work. I am going to show you this kitchen, see if I can shoot this for you. In this kitchen, you are going to have your refrigerator, your dishwasher, your disposal. Up here you are going to have your microwave, your range and you are also going to have your 2 appliance circuits back and forth here, as well in here your nook circuit. In this kitchen, we have 8 circuits running everything. We added a 9th one for our lighting. Again, the code requires us to have our nook, our appliance circuits, which is 2 of them. We have to have our dishwasher, disposal, microwave and fridge and you are also added 2 for your range, 240 volt, which is 2 circuits, unless you have a gas range. Then we can just tap that off of anything there. The lighting circuit is independent because we have some under cabinet lighting in this kitchen and we have a couple of scones up here as well as our ceiling fan. Just wanted to give you and update of how many circuits you need in a remodel. Yesterday, we went out to a place and they only had 2 circuits in the whole kitchen, so one wall did one circuit and the other wall did the other circuit for all the appliances. They had a gas range, but they were missing about 6 circuits to get that kitchen up to par. Thanks for joining us! We will talk to you next week!
