Joshua Peterson with Peterson Electric. We are here in Loveland, CO to fix a burnt wire that was found by the plumber, who had to come out for a leaking faucet. It was in the master bedroom. The wire had been soldered or melted. They had not had an issue yet with the wire shorting out, but what we did is to have to cut the wire back and we “fished” it back through. We used a blank box here and a data-com plate, which is just a fake box to try to jump it through to this outlet and “fished” it over. We were almost able to “fish” all the way through and down, but we couldn’t because of some studs in the corner. We were able to cut those little whole and “fish” it down and then feed an outlet. One of those weird and odd jobs that we wanted to get corrected because if we didn’t there might have been a short eventually between the neutral and hot. The ground eventually causing it to melt and the insulation inside of the jacket of Romex, actually showed a lot of break down already from current running on it.
