Joshua Peterson with Peterson Electric. A lot of customer call up and say can’t you just phish the wires done the wall? It is almost impossible to add the spacing. The code definitely wants more spacing along the walls for more outlets. When it is servicing counter tops, it is going to have to service a lot more space on the counter top as well. Plus, as you can see some of this old wiring here, we have to rip out and put new wires in because we don’t have any grounds. There is absolutely no ground. It is some of your old SE Cable. This home was built in the 50s. Now days, I have to arc-fault all the lighting in the kitchen and the under cabinet lighting and then I have to dedicate all my circuits. Good think about this is our customer pulled a permit, which we really appreciate. We want to make sure we do it right. Odd enough today, the City of Loveland came by and said they were changing out a transformer out in the back. I am glad we had a permit cause they knock on the door and said they were killing power tomorrow. It was going to kill about seven homes to upgrade that transformer on a pole that was bad. So little things like that, if you are doing things in your house and taking out cabinets, you have to update the electrical, grounding, spacing, the amount of circuits. The other thing about this place is it didn’t have enough circuits. I will hit you on the next video about that. We have a permit, got the wiring going. I will show you at the end of the day what this looks like.
